Tasks:

Tasks:

To work within the framework of the Rural infrastructure development project implemented in rural areas of the Fergana region, specialists are invited to the positions of “facilitator for work with the population” and “rural engineer”.
The project is aimed at providing technical assistance to the Government of Uzbekistan in monitoring and controlling investments, involving the public in decision-making based on demand in certain villages of the Ferghana region.
The project is being implemented with the financial support of the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank with the participation of the Uzbek branch of the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED), the nationwide movement “Yuksalish”, the Canadian International Water Secretariat and the “Taraqqiyot” Center of the Fergana region.
Requirements:
Facilitator of work with the population: higher education in sociology, economics and related fields, experience working with the local population in the villages of the Fergana Valley. Ability to work in a team and find solutions to problems. Communication skills in Uzbek, knowledge of Russian/English (oral and written) are welcome.
Responsibilities: raising public awareness of the project’s objectives, planning rural development, supervising the implementation of the subproject, building the capacity of representatives of local authorities and local gatherings of citizens, technical assistance in the preparation of reports and data collection. The full obligations will be explained during the interview.
Conditions:
The office is provided in the city of Ferghana, transport services for work in the villages of the Ferghana region. The salary is agreed upon during the interview.
Rural Engineer:
higher education in the field of construction, engineering. Experience working with estimate documentation, cartography. Have knowledge/skills in the field of software for engineering design and other relevant technical programs, as well as experience in obtaining permits/approvals from government agencies related to construction, land acquisition. Communication skills in Uzbek, knowledge of Russian/English (oral and written) are welcome.
Responsibilities: assist in village development planning, participate in the design process of small projects, provide support, advise, monitor the implementation of small projects, provide technical support and participate in the completion and adoption of small projects, provide capacity building and technical assistance to representatives of local authorities.
