How You’ll Study
Also included are the evaluation metrics and procedures of various learning methods. The module focuses on classification and regression learning tasks and their applications to real-world problems. This course covers the principles of project management, team working, communication, legal issues, finance, and company organisation. Working in small teams, students will go through the full project life-cycle https://www.metadialog.com/ of design, development and implementation, for a bespoke software requirement. In this course, students gain vital experience to enable them to enter the computer science/Electrical engineering workforce, with a degree backed by the British Computer Society, and by the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Our BSc Artificial Intelligence (including foundation year) course is open to Home and EU students.
The module content covers topics such as convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks, sequential networks, transformers and their applications. Offer conditions will vary depending on the institution you are applying from. Generally, we do not accept applications from students studying at Affiliate Colleges. Dr Zhang focuses on image and video analysis and processing; semantic media analysis; content-based multimedia retrieval, annotation and classification; multimedia systems in social environments; multimedia clustering and summarisation.
To address the issue of efficiency we cover the use of mathematical descriptions of the computational resources needed to support algorithm design decisions. The emphasis is upon understanding data structures and algorithms artificial intelligence engineer degree so as to be able to design and select them appropriately for solving a given problem. You’ll cover the following basic concepts in mathematics which are of relevance to the development of computer software.
Higher Secondary Certificate students will be required to take an approved Foundation Programme before they can be considered for entry to the first year of our Bachelor degree programmes (see Birmingham Foundation Pathways). The University will consider students who have taken GCE A Level examinations, the International Baccalaureate (IB), or a suitable foundation programme, such as the Foundation Pathways, for entrance to undergraduate programmes. One third of your time is spent on a project which can be chosen from a wide selection offered by staff members, or developed from your own idea. This usually involves writing a large piece of software and gives you the freedom to extend and demonstrate your skills in a manner of your choosing.
